  non-profit organization based in the ahupuaʻa of Heʻeia\, moku of Koʻo
 laupoko\, island of Oʻahu. With the support of the local community\, Kāk
 oʻo ʻŌiwi continues to implement Māhuahua ʻAi o Hoi (Regrowing the Fr
 uit of Hoi)\, a long-range project to restore agricultural and ecological 
 productivity to nearly 405-acres within the wetlands of Heʻeia. Through o
 ur cultural\, educational and ecosystem restoration programs\, Kākoʻo ʻ
 Ōiwi is promoting the social and economic advancement of the local commun
 ity. Wetland restoration workdays occur every Tuesday from 8:30 am – 12
  pm. These workdays involve removal of invasive plants\, out-planting nati

  way intersection on Ha&#39\;ikū\, take left onto Kamehameha Hwy. You sho
 uld pass King Intermediate School on your right. As you are driving towar
 ds Kahaluʻu on Kamehameha Hwy\, drive over the Heʻeia bridge\, you’ll 
 see the Heʻeia fishpond on your right and the mountains on your left. Rig
 ht after the bridge\, you’ll see a red gate on your left-hand side right
