DESCRIPTION:Boots on the Ground – Resistant Entrepreneurship\nThis works
 hop is designed for migrant and diasporic creatives from the Global South 
 who want to initiate or strengthen their creative entrepreneurship.\nMany 
 workshops support people in starting a business\, but they often lack an u
 nderstanding of the perspectives\, realities\, and challenges migrants\, n
 on-hegemonic people\, and those working outside dominant economic and cult
 ural systems face.\nThe workshop will be led by Natalia García-Fuentes\, 
 a USYD researcher exploring alternative forms of entrepreneurship\, partic
 ularly models rooted in Latin American practices that resist traditional c
 apitalist economic relations.\nConcepts such as autogestión and cooperati
 vism will guide the sessions\, giving creatives the tools to plan and stru
 cture their businesses with intention\, build sustainable practices\, and 
 explore the emancipatory potential of creating their own livelihoods withi
 n a community-based framework.
