DESCRIPTION:The Sunday of the Annunciation to Zachariah (had'bshabo d'Subo
 reh Da'zkharyo) according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodo
 x Church. This is the first Sunday of the season of Annunciation or Suboro
 . Initially\, there were only two Sundays\, however by the 12th century th
 is was increased to six Sundays before Christmas. The prayers of this seas
 on reflect the theology of fulfillment. This Sunday is commemorated as the
  day when John the Baptist's birth was announced to Zachariah the priest b
 y Archangel Gabriel. There are many examples in the Holy Bible &amp\; Chur
 ch tradition of children being born to barren parents in waiting. From the
  patriarch Abraham &amp\; his wife Sarah to even the parents of St. Mary\,
  we see many examples of God's miraculous grace being made manifest in tho
