The Falcon 9 booster is designated as B10XX.X for this flight.\n-\nOnce fully operation al\, the SDA Tracking Layer will consist of a proliferated heterogeneous c onstellation of Wide Field of View (WFOV) space vehicles (SVs) that provid e persistent global coverage and custody capability combined with the Miss ile Defense Agency (MDA) Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (H BTSS) Medium Field of View (MFOV) SVs that provide precision global access capability. This set of contract awards will initiate the development of the first eight low-cost proliferated WFOV SVs. The capability demonstrate d by the Tracking Layer Tranche 0 will provide missile warning and trackin g information to national defense authorities\, and tracking and cueing da ta for missile defense elements. Each satellite will have a “wide field of view” overhead persistent infrared (OPIR) sensor capable of detecting and tracking advanced missile threats from low Earth orbit. The satellite s will also be equipped with optical crosslinks to pass data to the Transp ort Layer relay satellites.\nThe first phase of SDA’s Proliferated Warfi ghter Space Architecture consists of 28 satellites (Tranche 0 including 20 communications payloads made by Lockheed Martin and York Space\, and eigh t missile-tracking infrared sensor satellites made by SpaceX and Leidos) a s a proof of concept for the missile tracking and data relay network\, fol lowed by more than 150 additional satellites to provide an initial operati onal capability. Combining conventional tactical radio links\, laser inter -satellite communications\, and wide-view infrared sensors\, hundreds more SDA spacecraft could launch later as the Pentagon ramps up efforts.\n-\nD elayed from September\, December and Q2.\n\nWebcast:\nhttps://www.spacex.c om/launches\nhttps://spaceflightnow.com LOCATION:Vandenberg AFB Space Launch Complex 4\, Lompoc\, Kalifornien 9343 6\, USA END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
