Instead\, a unique different "Qawmo" for each day\, according t o the (events that occurred in the Bible) is recited. If you don’t know the Qawmo for the specific day\, then you can recite  a ‘common Qawmo ’\, “Lord forgive us through Your Passion”.\n\n2) No praying of “S hlom lekh/Hail Mary” or seeking the intercession of any saints.\n\n3) T he veil (curtain) of the sanctuary (Madbaho) remains closed for the prayer s. \n\n4) The prayers of the hours in the church are conducted with lit ca ndles on the M’northo (Gogultha\, cross stand). \n\n5) NO kiss of peace (kaikasthuthi) is given amongst believers. No kissing of the altar\, no ki ssing of other parts of the Church such as the Gospel stand\, icons\, reli cs\, including the M’northo (Gogultha\, Cross-stand). Instead we bow our heads in veneration.\n\n6. NO kissing of a Priest (Qashisho/Achen) or Bis hop's (Hasyo/Thirumeni) hand (Kai Muthu) or handcross.\n\n7) The Gospel re ading is read by standing at the ‘parts inside the rails’ (Azhikakam). During hasho the words "Peace be to you all" is not said by the priest as a prelude to reciting the Gospel. \n\n8) There are no 40 prostrations aft er the Noon prayer (like that of Great Lent). \n\n9) St. Ephrem's bovuso ( Lord Thy mercy upon us... Karthave Kripa cheyaname) which is normally chan ted during Soothara of other seasons\, will be replaced by a version speci fic to Passion Week. \n\n10) No Quqalion sung after Nicene Creed recited d uring Passion Week.\n\n11) During Holy Thursday service\, we skip two stan zas (3rd and 4th) of the hymn ‘Come the time of prayer’ (Yachikendum s amayamitha). \n\n12) Instead of the Sh'himo (regular weekday prayers) or t he Great Lent prayers\; the Phanqitho d'has'ho (haasha namaskaram) will be prayed.
