 titute will award the Radcliffe Medal to Jodie Foster\, the Academy Award
 –winning actress and filmmaker.Each year\, the Institute awards the Radc
 liffe Medal to an individual who embodies Radcliffe’s commitment to exce
 llence and impact. The medal was first awarded to Lena Horne in 1987\; rec
 ent honorees include Sonia Sotomayor\, Ophelia Dahl\, Sherrilyn Ifill\, Me
 linda French Gates\, and Dolores Huerta.This year\, we celebrate Jodie Fos
 ter’s barrier-breaking career\, which has contributed to important progr
 ess in an industry that has long been male dominated\, inspiring countless
  individuals in and beyond her field. In addition to her work in front of 
 and behind the camera\, she has advanced efforts to improve the safety and

 iversary year of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study\, the traditio
 nal lunch portion of the program will be replaced with a celebratory commu
 nity reception following the Radcliffe Medal ceremony.#radday25The program
  will begin with a panel on the representation of women in film\, featurin
 g industry and scholarly perspectives on the importance of such representa
 tion throughout the industry\, gender and age stereotypes\, role modeling\
 , how films illuminate social issues and can effect change\, and future op
 portunities for progress. Foster will engage in a keynote conversation wit
 h Henry Louis Gates Jr.\, Alphonse Fletcher University Professor and direc
 tor of the Hutchins Center for African &amp\; African American Research at
  Harvard University. The program will conclude with the formal award prese
 ntation by Tomiko Brown-Nagin\, dean of Harvard Radcliffe Institute\, and 
 a community reception for all registered in-person attendees.How to Regist
