 ail is approximately 4.2 miles (1000 ft elevation) and generally takes abo
 ut 2.5 hours to complete. The hike begins with steep inclines on Springhil
 l leading to the stunning Lafayette Ridge and Briones Crest. Sunrise trail
  is completely unshaded but offers spectacular views during the moderate d
 escent. Watch out for the cows. Dogs are welcome but must be on leash.See
