 his program is designed for foundational science and clinical faculty comm
 itted to enhancing their assessment quality. It combines a self-paced vide
 o with a live\, hands-on workshop to master the art of NBME-style question
  writing\, with a special emphasis on leveraging and critically reviewing 
 items created using Generative AI.In this highly interactive\, hands-on se
 ssion\, attendees will bring their pre-generated draft questions to the ta
 ble. Working in interdisciplinary teams\, faculty will engage in a rigorou
 s peer-review “autopsy” of these items. The focus is on critically eva
 luating and collaboratively revising these AI-generated questions to ensur
 e they are accurate\, well-structured\, test appropriate high-level concep
 ts\, and fully align with NBME standards.Learning ObjectivesAt the end of 
 this two-part series\, participants will be able to: Identify the key com
 ponents and structure of high-quality\, NBME-style multiple-choice questio
 ns (MCQs). Differentiate between well- and poorly-written test items usin
 g NBME item-writing guidelines. Design and refine effective prompts for u
 sing generative AI tools to brainstorm and create high-quality\, NBME-styl
 e exam questions. Critically evaluate and revise AI-generated exam items 
 to ensure accuracy\, alignment with learning objectives\, and adherence to
  NBME question-writing standards. Appreciate the importance of interdisci
 plinary teamwork for creating and maintaining a pool of high-quality asses
 sment items for a course.
