DESCRIPTION:A Roscosmos Soyuz 2.1a rocket will launch a semi-civilian X-ba
 nd radar Earth observation satellite\, designated Obzor-R №1 \, into orb
 it. The synthetic aperture radar has a ground resolution of 500m and can o
 bserve targets at night and under clouds. The satellite will be joined by 
 an unknown number of rideshare payloads\, including a possible Iranian Ear
 th observation satellite.\n-\nObzor-R is was designed by TsSKB-Progress. 
 In 2012\, the development of the Arkon-2M radar satellite was stopped and 
 instead the development of the Obzor-R was initiated. The satellite featur
 es the BRLK X-band Synthetic Aperture Radar as imaging instrument with a g
 round resolution of 500m and has a designed service life of 5 years.\n-\nD
