It is an Earth observation satellite constellation by CNES consisting initially of four satellites\, which will deliver 50cm resolution stereo imagery across the world on a da ily basis. The data acquired will feed a cloud-based processing chain oper ated by Airbus and integrating CNES’ algorithms\, to produce a cutting-e dge 3D map of the Earth’s landmass.\n-\nThe Airbus-made CO3D satellites are based on the S250 optical bus and weigh around 285kg each. Equipped wi th full electric propulsion\, the four spacecraft will operate for eight y ears\, in pairs orbiting on opposite sides of the Earth\, with the satelli tes in each pair 100km apart. The CO3D satellites will join Airbus’ flee t of optical and radar satellites\, strengthening the company’s ability to meet the growing needs of very demanding applications. Inaugurating a g eneration of highly innovative and all electric platforms derived from the  OneWeb bus\, these extremely agile satellites will instigate a new way of acquiring\, processing and transferring images to the ground. Together with the Pléiades-Neo satellites\, the CO3D constellation will offer unri valled refresh rates for very high-resolution imagery. In the future\, the constellation might be expanded to twenty satellites.\n-\nDelayed from Ju ne.\n\nWebcast:\nhttps://www.arianespace.com/road-to-space/ LOCATION:ELV\, 66PG+C22\, Kourou 97310\, Französisch-Guyana END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
