DESCRIPTION:Week 3 is Maths week\, and we will be holding our annual Math
 ematics Bake-off on Thursday 13th August! Baking should be handed in at 
 reception on Thursday 13th August with judging taking place from 8:30-8:
 45. Students should bake Mathematical themed goodies under the categories 
 of: Multiplying Muffins\, Statistical Savouries\, Calculating Cake\, Pie C
 hart Pies and BEDMAS Biscuits.History Escape Rooms are back.... this year 
 we are being transported to Ancient Rome. Will you and your team be able t
 o crack the codes and escape the room? Sign up in Week One with your frien
 ds and then compete during lunchtimes during Week Two. Signup with your G
 lobal Futures teacher or with Ms. Scheffer in U1 during interval.Arts week
  is taking place in Week 4 and we are looking for performers!  The Arts
  Exhibition and performances will take place on Tuesday 18th August betwee
 n 4-6pm.  Please let Miss Pridham know if you are keen to perform.  This
  could be music\, dance\, drama - anything Arts related!Australian Mathema
 tics Competition (AMC)Students involved have been emailed. This competit
 ion will be held on Tuesday\, 4 August (Week 2) in the Hamlet Room during 
 periods 3 &amp\; 4.  This is a paper competition (computers are not requi
 red). You require a pencil and an eraser. Calculators are not required for
  Years 8-13. A calculator will be provided for Year 7.  Meet Mrs Haverko
 rt outside the Hamlet Room at the beginning of period 3.You will be asked 
 to solve thirty problems (25 questions are multiple-choice and 5 are integ
 ers) in 75 minutes. Year 7's competition is 60 minutes. The earliest pro
 blems are very easy\, and you should be able to attempt them. If you have
  any questions\, come and see me in H5. Mrs Haverkort.
