 ctives and collaboration. Understanding and removing potential barriers to
  participation for different members\, especially with less privileges tha
 n others is an essential step to support inclusivity in research.HOW?A 3 h
 our safe space and interactive virtual training session for individuals wo
 rking in research and research-adjacent roles. This workshop has been desi
 gned to equip leaders with practical skills they can build through group
  discussions\, accessible resources and inclusive facilitation.Being an op
 en leader requires a deep understanding of Ally Skills\, which can be lear
 ned only through practice. In our workshop we create supportive spaces to 
 explore our context\, privileges and concrete ways to step up for others i
 n a meaningful and effective way.Among other topics\, we will cover concep
 ts of power and privileges\, and how everyday allyship can help in buildin
 g better teams and communitiesWHO IS IT FOR? Basically ANYONE! But it'd b
 e specially interesting for:Mentors and educatorsManagers and leadersCommu
 nity leaders and open contributors--The Open Life Science team members h
 ave been trained under Frameshift Consulting and have previously conduct
 ed ally workshops at European Molecular Biology Laboratory\,This workshop 
 in part of a collaboration with the Software Sustainability Institute\, a
 s part of our support with their mentorship programme.--This workshop is f
 ree to attend but we do encourage solidarity payments to cover accessibili
 ty microgrants for members interested in participating at this event who w
