 rde\, the highly influential\, award-winning African-American lesbian poet
  and writer died in 1992. In the 1980s Dagmar Schultz\, who at the time wa
 s lecturing at the John F. Kennedy Institute at Berlin’s Freie Universit
 ät\, invited Lorde to Berlin as a visiting professor. This move was to ha
 ve an enduring influence\, for Lorde soon became co-founder and mentor of 
 the Afro-German movement.In her documentary portrait\, Dagmar Schultz dist
 ils hitherto unpublished and often very personal material of Lorde that po
 rtrays her among her Berlin women friends\, fellow-travellers and students
 \, many of whom she encouraged to begin writing. These women were later to
  become poets and academics\; they were the ones to create the first Germa
 n-language works about Afro-German history and racism.Director: Dagmar Sch

 r of Nigerian immigrants\, a poet\, educator\, and artist whose creative w
 ork navigates grief\, Home\, Time\, and memory. Chika’s poetry and prose
  appear in Seventh Wave\, Tupelo Quarterly\, The Journal of the American M
 edical Association\, West Trestle Review\, Black Perspectives\, and elsewh
 ere. Musa earned her MFA in Poetry from Washington University in St. Louis
 . While making home in St. Louis\, Precious curated her debut exhibit\, Li
 sten\, Look: A Reconciliatory Journey Through Black Grief and Joy\, which 
 showcased the visual art\, dance\, poetry\, and vocals of seven artists un
 packing grief and joy in Black life. She currently works as a Museum Teach
 er at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston\, where she educates (
 and learns from!) the public about the treasures and stories of Mrs. Gardn
