The Tranche 1 satellit es (codenamed ?) on this flight are for the Transport Layer and were built by Northrop Grumman. The mission is designated as SDA-T1TL-A and the Falc on 9 booster is B10XX.X for this flight. The 2nd stage is equipped with a Mission Extension Kit. Comprising a gray band on the RP-1 tank\, extra hel ium bottles & batteries\, this kit extends the life of the stage in-orbit\ , allowing it to deploy the payload directly into its operational orbit.\n -\nOnce fully operational\, the SDA Transport Layer will consist of a prol iferated heterogeneous constellation of data relay space vehicles (SVs) th at provide persistent global coverage through a mesh network comprised of communication satellites that connect to one another and to other space ve hicles and ground stations via optical intersatellite links (OISLs). By na ture of the mesh network spanning the globe\, the Transport satellites wil l also be able to transmit precise position\, navigation and timing (PNT) data to enhance GPS. A-class satellites have at least four optical cross-l inks\, that is so they can talk to satellites that are in plane with one a nother as they're traveling and they also can talk to satellites that are cross-plane or in completely different orbits. So they can maintain those four lines of communication simultaneously. The B-class satellites will co nnect directly to the warfighters via the Link-16 military communications system. They have two optical cross-links each\, so that allows them to ma intain constant communication with the other transport satellites in plane . The two other nodes will be Link-16 transmitters. Link-16 is an existing tactical communication system used across the services primarily for air and ground systems to share low latency data. The first phase of SDA’s Pr oliferated Warfighter Space Architecture consists of 28 satellites (Tranch e 0 including 20 communications payloads made by Lockheed Martin and York Space\, and eight missile-tracking infrared sensor satellites made by Spac eX and Leidos) as a proof of concept for the missile tracking and data rel ay network\, followed by more than 150 additional satellites to provide an initial operational capability. In total\, Tranche 1 will consist of 154 operational satellites: 126 in the transport layer developed by York\, Nor throp Grumman\, and Lockheed Martin\, and 28 focused on missile warning an d tracking developed by Northrop Grumman and L3Harris. Combining conventio nal tactical radio links\, laser inter-satellite communications\, and wide -view infrared sensors\, hundreds more SDA spacecraft could launch later a s the Pentagon ramps up efforts and integrates new capabilities.\n-\nDelay ed from September\, December 2024\, Q2\, October\, November\, December\, Q 1 and late June.\n\nWebcast: \nhttps://www.spacex.com/launches/\n\nhttps:/ /spaceflightnow.com LOCATION:Vandenberg AFB Space Launch Complex 4\, Lompoc\, Kalifornien 9343 6\, USA END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
