DESCRIPTION:Arianespace will launch an Ariane 6 rocket on a mission design
 ated VA265\, to carry the Sentinel 1D Earth observation satellite for ESA 
 into orbit. It will be part of the Copernicus program. The new satellite w
 ill replace Sentinel 1A\, which is well beyond its planned lifetime. The m
 ission was switched from Vega C to Ariane in January 2025. Ariane 6 will f
 ly in the Ariane 62 configuration\, using 2 solid rocket boosters.\n-\nBas
 ed on a Prima platform\, developed by Thales Alenia Space for the Italian 
 Space Agency\, Sentinel 1D will weigh 2285kg at launch and will look at th
 e Earth in swaths up to 700km with a ground resolution of between 5 and 25
 m according to the selected operative mode. It will carry a C-band Synthet
 ic Aperture Radar (SAR)\, based on Thales Alenia Space's key technologies 
 such as the Transmit-Receive modules inside the active antenna. Sentinel 1
 D also features a new Automatic Identification System (AIS)\, for use by s
 ea-faring ships on Earth to avoid collisions when they are out of range of
  land-based radar systems.\n-\nDelayed from January and June. Moved forwar
