DESCRIPTION:A China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) Long Marc
 h (Chang Zheng) CZ-8A rocket will launch a batch of 9 Hulianwang Digui sat
 ellites for the China SatNet Guowang internet constellation into orbit. Gu
 owang satellites either use the mega-constellation's small satellite platf
 orm\, weighing about 695kg each\, or a large satellite platform\, around 3
 0% bigger and weighing up to 1 tonne. Both platforms utilize electric prop
 ulsion systems to maneuver in orbit\, powered by two solar panels. This mi
 ssion is known as SatNet LEO Group 24? (卫星互联网低轨24?组) and t
 he satellites are designated as Xingwang Digui 24?A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H/I\, and 
 were built on the small platform.\n-\nThe Guowang satellite program can ca
 rry a variety of payloads\, including broadband communication payloads\, l
 aser communication payloads\, synthetic aperture radar payloads\, optical 
 remote sensing payloads\, and others\, to meet the needs of different user
 s and scenarios. It offers comprehensive technical support across numerous
  fields such as maritime and aviation operations\, information security\, 
 navigation and positioning\, and meteorological research\, while also enab
 ling expansion into the global satellite internet access market. The event
 ual constellation is expected to grow to 12992 satellites. This will be ma
 de up of 6080 in the low orbit GW-A59 sub-constellation at altitudes below
  500km\, offering initial broadband coverage. The rest will orbit in the h
 igher GW-A2 sub-constellation at 1145 km\, providing a more global reach.
