 rch. \n\nThis Sunday marks the first of the 7 Sundays of the Great Lent (s
 awme rabo/valiya nombu) leading to Passion Week (hasho). This day is also 
 known as Pethurtho which means 'to return' in Syriac. The Church extolls u
 s to return to God through fasting & prayers.\n\nSt. John's Gospel recount
 s the very first miracle of our Lord's public ministry. At a wedding in th
 e region of Cana\, Christ transforms water into wine when it is found shor
 t in supply. Let also be transformed by the miraculous grace of our Lord &
