DESCRIPTION:Join us for a kayak adventure as we explore a unique 2-mile lo
 op through the John Muir Land Trust’s Pacheco Marsh\, providing particip
 ants with an immersive\, fascinating tour of the marsh and Suisun Bay. It
  took $25 million and 22 years to restore the 122 acres of saltwater marsh
 land just northeast of downtown Martinez\, where Walnut Creek flows into t
 he Carquinez Strait. The preserve opened to visitors this year. Now\, kaya
 kers paddle through tidal currents past native wildflowers and coyote brus
 h\, while young families and seniors stroll along nearly 2.5 miles of flat
 \, paved trails and pedestrian bridges while migratory birds fly overhead 
 – a peculiar juxtaposition of concrete\, steam and steel on the horizon 
 from the first Bay Delta project stewarded by the John Muir Land Trust. T
 he guided tour will be led by Delta Kayak Adventures for up to 12 particip
