ViaSat 3-F3 is the third of three new-gene ration Boeing-built geostationary satellites for Viasat. This third and fi nal satellite in the ViaSat 3 constellation will target its area of covera ge over the Asia-Pacific region and is intended to add more than one Terab it per second (Tbps) of capacity to the overall Viasat network. The missio n was switched from Ariane to Falcon Heavy in 2023. This flight will featu re side boosters B1072.2 and B1075.22\, which will return for a RTLS landi ng at LZ-2 and LZ-40\, plus center core B1098\, which will fly in expendab le mode without recovery hardware. The 2nd stage is equipped with a Missio n Extension Kit. Comprising a gray band on the RP-1 tank\, extra helium bo ttles & batteries\, this kit extends the life of the stage in-orbit\, allo wing it to deploy the payload directly into its operational MEO.\n\nLive p ad view: https://www.youtube.com/live/thfYPsRqxmw\n-\nThe 6.4 tonne Viasat 3-F3 (VS-3 F3) satellite is as big as a school bus\, and its solar panels will unfurl in orbit to generate more than 30 kilowatts of power in orbit . The spacecraft has one of the largest antenna reflectors ever sent into space\, and will rely on all-electric propulsion for fine orbital maneuver s and station-keeping.\nThe ViaSat 3 constellation of high capacity broadb and satellites for ViaSat Inc consists of three satellites for global cove rage. Boeing was selected to provide the all-electric propulsion BSS-702MP + (originally BSS-702HP were to be used) busses\, while the communications payloads were built by ViaSat. Each ViaSat 3 class satellite is expected to offer over 1 Terabit per second (Tbps) of total network capacity to del iver a global broadband network with enough bandwidth to deliver affordabl e\, high-speed\, high-quality internet and video streaming services.\n-\nD elayed from June 2021\, July\, late 2022\, May\, late 2023\, Q2 2024 and Q 2 2025.
