In the first block we'll u se memray to find memory leaks\, bloat\, and allocation hotspots in real c ode. In the second block we'll cover time profiling using Python 3.15's ne w built-in sampling profiler Tachyon (profiling.sampling)\, alongside com plementary tools like py-spy and samply\, to locate CPU bottlenecks witho ut heavy instrumentation overhead.\nEach block opens with a short (~30 min ) conceptual lecture on how the profilers actually work (sampling vs. trac ing\, allocation tracking\, flame graphs)\, followed by extensive live\, h ands-on profiling exercises on real example code. We will briefl y run again through the main parts of this training at the beginning\, but we would expect participants to be familiar with most of the topics handl ed in that course. The goal of this course is\, in addition to write your own analysis software\, to already enable you to contribute meaningfully t o your experiment core code base. If you aren't sure of your current skill level\, then don't hesitate to contact us.\nFinally\, every person in HEP  interested in the training is welcome to subscribe.
