 islature provides an opportunity for teen 4-H members to have a “learn b
 y doing” experience in state government each summer. During this event\,
  4-H’ers will serve as Florida 4-H senators\, representatives\, lobbyist
 s\, media correspondents\, Lt. Governor or Governor in a “mock” style 
 experience. 4-H participants will get to experience what it takes for laws
  to be considered and passed or vetoed in a model legislative session at t
 he Florida State Capitol.The purpose of Florida 4-H Legislature is to prov
 ide an experience that prepares 4-H members for leadership in the American
  democratic process. Each participant learns\, practices and defends the t
 heory and process of representing citizens and making public policy.

 d Member           Each year\, the 13 4-H Districts select up to four (4
 ) Executive Board delegates to represent the voice and interests of their 
 district on the statewide programming board. Any youth\, regardless of bei
 ng elected\, can also apply for one (1) of the 30 appointed positions. The
  applications for these positions are reviewed by the state officer team a
 nd are decided upon based on the needs of the Executive Board.For full inf
 ormation on the responsibilities of an Executive Board member\, you can go
  to the Florida 4-H Executive Board Information Packet.Applications will 
 only be accepted through the online form. You can access by clicking the l
 ink below. A sample application is included in the Executive Board Informa
 tion Packet\, linked above\, to help you prepare.Executive Board Applicati
 on—includes three (3) essay questions and your ranking of preferred comm
 ittees.All applications for district delegates and Executive Board appoint
 ees must be submitted by 11:59PM on July 1.Once your application is submit
 ted online\, your county 4-H professional will receive an email to confirm
  your application. Your application is not considered complete until their
  approval is received\, so make sure to follow up with them. If you are i

 end is open to ALL seniors to immerse themselves in all things Executive B
 oard. This weekend is a great opportunity to make connections with youth a
