 alize the draft recommendations on best practices for open science and dat
 a preservation in high-energy physics.The development of these recommendat
 ions has been a collaborative effort involving scientists and experts with
  direct experience in high-energy physics data preservation. The work is c
 arried out within the framework of the Data Lifecycle panel of the Interna
 tional Committee of Future Accelerators (ICFA)\, drawing on the knowledge 
 and practical experience of a broad range of stakeholders.\nThe draft is a

DESCRIPTION:The 2025 edition of the MC4EIC workshop will take place at Jef
 ferson Lab from July 9–11. Please note that the joint meeting of the EIC
  User Group and the ePIC collaboration will be held at the same location t
 he following week. The primary focus of this workshop is to discuss the st
 atus of current MC event generators for the EIC and their related experime
 ntal needs. Part of the workshop will include a Rivet hackathon\, where pa
 rticipants will actively work on validating event generators for ep and eA
