Festival of International Understanding Parade & Carnival

This year, Cowra is celebrating the United Kingdom as part of the Festival of International Understanding. The annual Festival Parade will be held on Saturday, 28th March, and St Raphael’s Catholic School will once again proudly participate in celebrating our guest nation.We warmly invite as many students as possible to join our school in the parade.To help us represent the United Kingdom, students are asked to wear:A red, white, or blue shirt, andBlack school sports shorts and School HatOur Year 6 students are currently preparing large Queen and King cards that will be carried during the parade, adding colour and excitement to our school’s presentation.Parade DetailsMeeting Time: 2:30pmMeeting Place: Marshalling area in Bartlett Street, near the Civic Centre carparkSupervision: Mr Wickham, Mrs McNamara, Miss Buttigieg and St Raphael’s staff will be there to greet students and accompany them throughout the paradeConclusion: The march will finish on Twigg Oval, Past the Cowra Pool and covered basketball courtPick‑up: Parents are asked to collect their children from this point, where they will remain under the care of St Raphael’s staff until collectedWe are very much looking forward to celebrating England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales together at Cowra’s special Festival of International Understanding.We hope to see you there!
