The film is about American-born Gogol, the son of Indian immigrants, who wants to fit in among his fellow New Yorkers despite his family's unwillingness to let go of their traditional ways. “The Namesake” is based on the novel by Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa Lahiri. Seats are first come, first serve. There will be light refreshments. This event is co-sponsored by the Town of Arlington Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office.
