A Rocket Lab Electron rocket topped with a Curie kickstage will launch the newest StriX satellite for Synspective, its eleventh sat after StriX α, β, 1, 3, 4, 2, 5, 6, ? and ?. Rocket Lab's mission will be named "?" and will use a customized fairing. - StriX are Japanese synthetic aperture radar satellites built by Synspective for their planned 25 satellite constellation. They feature an X-band synthetic aperture radar. The 100kg StriX operational satellites are more light weight than the 150kg StriX α and β prototypes. The satellites feature two deployable panes, one side carrying solar cells, the other carrying the X-band radar antenna. Synspective is planning a constellation of 25 satellites that can target data with a ground resolution of 1-3m, single polarized (VV), and a swath width of more than 10-30km. The StriX observation modes are Stripmap and Sliding Spotlight mode and each satellite has an SAR antenna that is 5 meters in length and stowed during launch.
