Dear Parents and Carers,Your child is invited to attend the Deadly Pathways Festival in Dubbo on Wednesday 14th October 2026.Please provide consent via the Compass portal by Monday 12th October.Event DetailsDate: Wednesday 14th October 2026 Location: Charles Sturt University, Dubbo Departure: 6:00am (please meet at the front of the school) Return: Approximately 6:00pm Meals: Morning tea, lunch, and bottled water provided Uniform: Sports uniform Travel: School busFestival Schedule9:30am – Arrival, registration, welcome pack & snack 10:00am – Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony & Dance Performance 10:20am – Deadly Stories panel discussion with MC Andy Saunders 11:00am – Morning tea (provided) 11:30am – Deadly Workshops: Session One 12:20pm – Deadly Workshops: Session Two 1:05pm – Lunch (provided), Expo activities & performance by Luca Saunders 1:50pm – Closing Ceremony & prize draw 2:30pm – Festival close What Students Can Look Forward ToMeeting First Nations role models in science, technology, education, and health – with guest speakers from DeadlyScience, AH&MRC, AbSec, Microsoft, and more. Participating in hands-on workshops exploring study and career pathways with Charles Sturt University and TAFE NSW. Visiting the expo to discover study options, support services, and interactive activities. Learning about support for future students at Charles Sturt University. Morning tea and lunch are included.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Chris Colemane or Mrs Kiri Hubber at the school.
