Club Activity: Valley of the Dinosaurs - a club favouriteDate: Sunday 10th May 2026Leader(s): Karen Riley & Eric CaswellGrade: 4        Walk Time: 5-6hours                   Walk Distance: Approx 8kmActivity Description:  A hard walk with a 370m rise in elevation in the first 1 1/2 kls. Some off track walking, scrubby, with some scrambling.Morning tea on the track after tackling the hill. Lunch in the Valley of the Dinosaurs. Will also visit the Ultimate Slot.Walk Conditions: Steep start and end of walk, scrubby uneven ground. Suggest take poles and gaiters.Location: Mugii Murram-ban State Conservation Area Capertee.What to Bring: PPE suitable to for walking, BYO lunch and hydration ++, personal first aid kit, gaiters optional, walking poles optional, Meeting Place: Lovejoy Street carpark (Douro Street entrance) for registering and carpooling (as reqd).Meeting Time: 7:15am for a 7:30am departurewith re-meet at Capertee Rest Area at 8:30am for any toilet requirements, then follow to the turnoff approx 8kls on the Glen Davis Road.Map Ref: Glen Alice 8931-4NAll participants to pay attention to activity safety briefing at commencement of activity.
