Second Saturday Meals FREE meal offered monthly from noon – 1:30 pm for any in need of food and fellowship. Volunteers are always welcome and needed! The proceeds from every 4th Sunday Plate Offering help fund this ministry. Second Saturday serves a monthly, hearty lunch of baked beans, stir fried rice, macaroni and cheese, roast chicken, fish sticks, hot dogs and deserts in addition to take home PB&J sandwiches and if there are leftovers, take home “seconds” to 40 to 70 guests. New guests are often surprised by the variety and quality of our lunch. Second Saturday serves a vital purpose however the number served varies quite a lot because Second Saturday can occur anywhere from the 8th to the 14th. Food stamp cards are loaded around the 12th so sometimes Second Saturday happens when people have few alternatives and some months cupboards are stocked.
