Long March CZ-6A • Guowang

A Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST) Long March (Chang Zheng) CZ-6A rocket launched a batch of 5 Hulianwang Digui satellites for the China SatNet Guowang internet constellation into orbit. This mission is known as SatNet LEO Group 10 and the satellites are designated as Hulianwang Digui 10A/B/C/D/E. - The Guowang satellite program can carry a variety of payloads, including broadband communication payloads, laser communication payloads, synthetic aperture radar payloads, optical remote sensing payloads, and others, to meet the needs of different users and scenarios. It offers comprehensive technical support across numerous fields such as maritime and aviation operations, information security, navigation and positioning, and meteorological research, while also enabling expansion into the global satellite internet access market. The eventual constellation is expected to grow to 12992 satellites. This will be made up of 6080 in the low orbit GW-A59 sub-constellation at altitudes below 500km, offering initial broadband coverage. The rest will orbit in the higher GW-A2 sub-constellation at 1145 km, providing a more global reach.
