MG Spring Classic

Spring Classic.  A thoroughly enjoyable touring event through the Waikato, it has the interesting challenge of selecting your own route in an effort to find the shortest way to the finish though the excellent network of tarmac secondary roads in the Waikato.  A buffet breakfast to get things under way, and getting together over morning coffee, lunch and a wind-up dinner, all provide a thoroughly enjoyable social dimension which perfectly rounds out the day.  Register for the event, before 1st September, via the online entry form on the club website, at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9Zgb5qegNQcH23x0l14UJkr1hXhP0a-6bo1n-qKjWo_8AVg/viewformAt last, the end of winter is in sight and spring is just around the corner! And what better way to celebrate it than to join in the highly enjoyable Spring Classic on Saturday 13 September.This is an interesting one day event with a unique format: cruising on great roads of your choice, and at your own pace, to visit some interesting given locations - and mildly competitive for the keen ones who want to work out the shortest route to the finish. And to cap it all off, catch up and swap notes and experiences en route with other Club members over breakfast, lunch and dinner.The start is at The Country Inn, Ramarama, lunch is in the Waikato countryside and the finish venue is a lodge-inspired hotel resort property beautifully set on the lake edge at Okawa Bay, Lake Rotoiti.Entries are limited to the size of the hotel restaurant for the prize-giving dinner on Saturday night, so now is the time to place your entry before it is too late.Entries close Sunday 1 September. We have negotiated special hotel rates for this event - room accommodation is $169 (double/twin), including breakfast on Sunday. Please note, this is a flat room rate for all rooms with early bookings getting the best lake-view rooms. So it is to your advantage to book your room now. A credit card is required to hold your room booking. It can be cancelled up to 10 days prior (3 September) to the event. Payment on the day for room and buffet meal.
