A CAS Space Kinetica 1 rocket will launch the Haishao 2 (海哨一号) satellite into orbit, the sixth sequential satellite of the AIRSAT constellation. It is a Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) Earth observation satellite from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to observe dynamics properties of oceans. Additional payloads are ThumbSat 1–2 for Mexico. - The Haishao 2 (aka Zhongke 5, AIRSAT 5) satellite has a mass of about 400kg and is equipped with both a multi-polarization SAR payload and a visible light payload. It is part of the AIRSAT constellation. Haishao 2 can realize joint observation of optical and ultra-low orbit SAR remote sensing. The low-orbit mission will be at an altitude of 350km and the satellite can raise the orbit to an altitude of 550km. - Delayed from Aug. 16. Webcast: https://www.youtube.com/live/VKVfPNfh6T4
