 TIONUlupō ("Night of Inspiration") Heiau was one of the first sacred temp
 les to have been built as a māpele (agricultural) heiau by the first peop
 le or menehune\, and dedicated to Kāneulupō. KAULUAKALANA--the organiza
 tion that cares for Ulupō--is a community-based\, non-profit 501(c)(3) or
 ganization that was founded in 2019 by kamaʻāina of Kailua\, those who h
 ave been raised by the lands and leaders of their ahupuaʻa to chart and n
 avigate a course leading to kanaka (people) and ʻāina (land) reunited in
  a relationship that feeds us physically\, intellectually\, culturally\, a
 nd spiritually. Traveling in the wake of those who came before\, we are co
 mmitted to ʻāina restoration and education\, cultural revitalization\, c
 ommunity regeneration\, identity reclamation\, and the renewal of kuleana 
 in Kailua\, one of the most storied ahupuaʻa on Oʻahu. To learn more ab

 e Pali Hwy\, which continues as Kalaniana'ole Highway and then as Kailua R
 d. Pass the Castle Medical Center and turn left on Uluoa Street. Take the 
 first right on Manu Aloha St. At the end of that road (1 block)\, turn rig
 ht on Manu Oo St. which ends by the Windward YMCA. Park by the YMCA (the h
 eiau parking area is shared with the YMCA) and walk down the walkway to th
