 ________For 20 years\, Papahana Kuaola has brought people together through
  hands-on stewardship\, environmental education\, and Native Hawaiian know
 ledge.Located in Heʻeia\, the nonprofit works alongside schools\, familie
 s\, volunteers\, and community partners to restore Hawaiʻi’s natural re
 sources while creating meaningful opportunities for people to build a last
 ing relationship with the ʻāina.Whether restoring streams\, propagating 
 native plants\, caring for wetlands\, or leading place-based educational p
 rograms\, Papahana Kuaola believes that the best way to learn is by gettin
 g your hands in the work.This year marks a milestone as Papahana Kuaola ce
 lebrates its 20th anniversary with a community Hoʻolauleʻa on Sunday\,
  August 30\, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.“This celebration is really about ou
 r community\,” said Executive Director Tésia Roberts. “For 20 years\,
  people have come together here to learn\, volunteer\, restore\, and grow.
   The Hoʻolauleʻa is our way of celebrating those relationships and inv
 iting everyone to experience Papahana Kuaola.”
