DESCRIPTION:September 9th is the commemoration of the dukhrono of St. Juli
 an the Hermit according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodox 
 Church.\n\nMor Youlyané Ounwoyo also known as Mor Elian was from Emesa (m
 odern day Homs Syria). Church tradition tells us that he was a teacher of 
 St. Ephrem the Syrian. He refused to renounce Christ & so was murdered by 
 his father\, a Roman officer. Thus Mor Youlyané attained the crown of mar
 tyrdom. A Monastery was built in his honour in the 5th century\, however i
 t was sadly destroyed by ISIS terrorists in 2015.\n\nOh Mor Youlyané Ounw
 oyo! Plead for us before God's throne of grace. Amen
