DESCRIPTION:Prophet Zechariah the son of Berechiah\, was one of the twelve
  minor prophets. He was from the tribe of Levi\, born in the land of Gilea
 d\, and was exiled to the land of the Chaldeans.\n\nIn exile\, he started 
 to prophesy\, in the second year of King Darius\, 520 B.C. He prophesied a
 bout "Jeshua\, the son of Jozadak\," and "Zerubbabel\, the son of Shealtie
 l\," that they would rebuild the temple. (Ezra 5:1\; 6:14)\n\nHe prophesie
 d also about the entrance of the Lord to Jerusalem riding a donkey\, the f
 oal of a donkey (Zechariah 9:9)\; the thirty pieces of silver that Judas I
 scariot received to deliver his Master to the Jews (Matthew 26:14-15)\; th
 e scattering of the disciples on the night of the crucifixion\; the coming
  of Christ in glory\; and the grief of the children of Israel who did not 
 believe in Him (Zechariah 12:10). He also prophesied about many other thin
 gs.\n\nHe was the prophet who was killed between the altar and the temple.
  He was buried in Jerusalem in the tomb of the prophets.\n\nSt. Severus of
  Antioch hymn on Prophet Zechariah:\n\n"Beg of the Lord and pray before Hi
 m" (Psalms 37:7)\nZechariah the prophet\, who foresaw and made announcemen
 t and spoke concerning the cessation and peace regarding the destruction o
 f Jerusalem\, and concerning the building of the temple\, saying\, "Jerusa
 lem shall be inhabited as one that is fertile or fruitful" and\, "The glor
 y of this house shall be greater than its former glory"\, and regarding th
 e suprasensual sickle that convicted of perjury\, entreat Christ\, the God
  of us all\, to bestow upon His churches the peace and concord that comes 
 from Him\; and by means of Thy sickle to cut away and abolish the falsehoo
 d of all heresies and barbarian enemies or peoples who desire wars\, and b
