DESCRIPTION:**Date Has Been Changed to 4/19**Join fellow Haasies for a rel
axed coastal hike along the beautiful Devil’s Slide Trail located betwee
n Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. We’ll start at the South Parking Lot\, wal
k north along the cliffs to the North Parking Lot\, and then loop back—a
n easy out-and-back route with sweeping Pacific views. This is a casual\,
social hike designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The hike
will begin promptly at 10:00 AM and will take approximately one hour to co
mplete (2.4 miles round trip). Parking is free but limited\, so please pla
n to arrive early. Comfortable walking shoes\, layers for coastal weather\
, sun protection\, and water are recommended. The trail is paved and relat
ively flat. Dogs on leash are permitted on the trail.   We’re particul
arly excited about this hike because mid-April is peak gray whale migratio
n season. This time of the year\, northbound gray whales often pass surpri
singly close to shore\, so keep an eye on the horizon as you may spot a fi
n or a tail from the trail. The cliffs are also home to nesting seabirds s
 uch as peregrine falcons\, pigeon guillemots\, Brandt’s cormorants\, and
Western gulls. Benches along the trail offer great vantage points to paus
e and watch the waves\, and you may also spot sea lions or dolphins offsho
re.   Looking forward to a great morning walk by the ocean!Questions? Co
