 tellite (designated Obzor-R №1) for the Russian military.\n-\nObzor-R i
 s a planned X-band radar Earth observation satellite designed by TsSKB-Pro
 gress. In 2012\, the development of the Arkon-2M radar satellite was stopp
 ed and instead the development of the Obzor-R was initiated. The satellite
  features the BRLK X-band Synthetic Aperture Radar as the imaging instrume
 nt with a ground resolution of 500m and has a designed service life of 5 y
 ears.\n-\nDelayed from late December 2023\, May and July 2024.
