 ヴァンデンバーグ宇宙軍基地のスペース・ローンチ・
 コンプレックス4・イースト（SLC-4E）から、NASAのSentinel-
 6Bミッションの打ち上げを予定しています。打ち上げは
 太平洋標準時午後9時21分を予定しています。\n\nライブ
 ウェブキャストは、Falcon 9の打ち上げの約1時間前にplus.
 nasa.govで開始されます。\n\n今回の打ち上げは、このミ
 ッションを支える第1段ブースターの3回目の飛行となり
 ます。このブースターは、過去に2回のStarlinkミッショ
 ンにも使用されました。分離後、第1段はヴァンデンバ
 ーグ宇宙軍基地のランディング・ゾーン4（LZ-4）に着陸
 します。\n\nSentinel-6Bは、レーダーを用いて海面に信号
 を反射させ、海洋地形の連続測定を行います。また、
 このミッションでは、地球の大気の温度変化を評価し
 、気象予測モデルの精度向上を図るため、高解像度の
 温度鉛直プロファイルを収集します。この衛星は、5年
 前の2020年11月21日にファルコン9号によって打ち上げら
 れたセンチネル6Bの双子であるセンチネル6（マイケル
 ・フライリッチ）の後継機となります。\n\nサンタバー
 バラ郡、サンルイスオビスポ郡、ベンチュラ郡の住民
 は、打ち上げ中に1回以上のソニックブームを耳にする
 可能性がありますが、住民が実際に体験する音は天候
 などの状況によって異なります。\n\n\n\nSpaceX is targeting S
 unday\, November 16 for launch of NASA’s Sentinel-6B mission from Space 
 Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Califor
 nia. Liftoff is targeted for 9:21 p.m. PT.\n\nThe live webcast will begin 
 approximately one hour before Falcon 9’s liftoff at plus.nasa.gov.\n\nTh
 is will be the third flight for the first stage booster supporting this mi
 ssion\, which previously supported two Starlink missions. Following stage 
 separation\, the first stage will land on Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenb
 erg Space Force Base.\n\nSentinel-6B will use radar to bounce signals off 
 of the ocean surface to deliver continuous ocean topography measurements. 
 The mission also will collect high-resolution vertical profiles of tempera
 ture to assess temperature changes in Earth’s atmosphere and improve wea
 ther prediction models. It will take over from Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich
 \, a twin of Sentinel-6B\, which Falcon 9 launched five years ago on Novem
 ber 21\, 2020\n\nThere is the possibility that residents of Santa Barbara\
 , San Luis Obispo\, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms 
 during the launch\, but what residents experience will depend on weather a
 nd other conditions.
