DESCRIPTION:The 'Fifth Sunday of Great Lent' (had'bshabo hmis'hoyo d'sawmo
 ) according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Ma
 lankara. \n\nThe Fifth Sunday of the Great lent is unique from a liturgica
 l perspective. In the past\, variations between liturgical calendars were 
 not uncommon\, especially between that of the Western (ma'erbo) & Eastern 
 (madenho) traditions within the Syriac Orthodox Church. \n\nThe Suryoye of
  the Middle East and their diaspora commemorates the parable of the Good S
 amaritan (al Shamryoyo tobo). \n\nHowever the Church in Malankara appears 
 to have been influenced by the liturgical traditions of the Eastern tradit
 ion\; therefore the liturgical calendars in Malankara dedicate the fifth S
 unday to the Healing of the Crippled Woman (al Kfifto). \n\nThe Holy Bible
