In 1125 AD\, he was elevated to bishop of Mardin & its Environs (Dara\, Khabura\, Kafrtut\, & Talbsam). He was instrumental in renovating Dayro d-Mor Hanany o (St. Ananias Monastery/Kurkmo Dayro/Deyrulzafran/Saffron Monastery). In addition\, he renovated & constructed 24 other monasteries & churches. \n\ nHe convened a council presided by Maphrian Mor Ignatius II\, where he set 40 canons for the conduct of the monks\, & another 41 more canons for mon ks in his diocese specifically. He composed a 36 page treatise on the myst ery of the Holy Chrism along with other liturgical subjects. \n\nMor Yuhan non was known for his architectural proficiency\, the renovated monasterie s & churches standing as testament. In 1165 he left for the Heavenly Abode .
