The mission is known as Leo 5 by ULA and LA-05 by Amazon. Total pay load mass will be 15422kg. Atlas will deploy the satellites in an initial orbit of 450km altitude\, the satellites will then use their electric prop ulsion systems to settle into their assigned final orbits. The Amazon Leo constellation will enable Internet service for customers between 56 degree s north and south latitude. Atlas will fly in the 551 vehicle configuratio n with a five-meter medium length fairing\, five GEM-63 solid rocket boost ers and a single-engine Centaur upper stage.\n\nMission profile video: htt ps://youtu.be/ZATwTLIbQu8\n-\nOperational satellites of the Amazon Leo con stellation (formerly known as Project Kuiper) are a significant upgrade fr om the two prototype satellites of the Kuiper Protoflight mission. The ~57 2kg satellites are equipped with Hall-effect thruster technology for propu lsion. They feature improved systems and sub-systems on board\, including phased array antennas\, processors\, solar arrays\, propulsion systems\, a nd optical inter-satellite links. In addition\, the satellites are coated in a dielectric mirror film unique to Amazon Leo that scatters reflected s unlight to help make them less visible to ground-based astronomers. Amazon Leo is planned to work in concert with Amazon's network of 12 satellite g round station facilities. In addition to connecting to ground stations\, s atellites will interconnect via optical infrared laser connections. Amazon refers to this technology as OISL (optical inter-satellite link).\nThe Am azon Leo constellation is planned to consist of 3236 satellites operating in 98 orbital planes in three orbital shells\, one each at 590km\, 610k m and 630km orbital altitude. Kuiper satellites will fly in mid-inclinatio n orbits\, enabling Internet service for customers between 56 degrees nort h and south latitude. Phase 1 of deployment will be 578 satellites at 630k m altitude and an orbital inclination of 51.9 degrees. A total of five pha ses of constellation development are planned.\n\nWebcast: \nhttps://www.u lalaunch.com/missions/next-launch/atlas-v-amazon-leo-5\n\nhttps://spacefli ghtnow.com LOCATION:Cape Canaveral AFS Launch Complex 41\, Titan III Rd\, Titusville\ , FL 32780\, USA END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
