 f the Independent Lens documentary The Grocery List Show\, followed by 
 a panel discussion about the many culinary traditions of Newton residents.
 Hosted by Top Chef contender Chrissy Camba\, The Grocery List Show is 
 a trip to five bustling international grocery stores in America and the co
 mmunities they serve. Special guests and food enthusiasts join Chrissy to 
 shop for ingredients and cook a favorite family recipe\, as they celebrate
  global food traditions over a shared meal.The film is approximately one h
 our. Following the screening\, the discussion will explore foodways in New
 ton\, highlight the work of the Newton Food Pantry to provide culturally r
 elevant food to Newton residents\, and share recipes from the Library’s 
 cookbook collection. We recommend eating dinner before this event – othe
 rwise the film will make you hungry! – but the Library will have a few 
 snacks from local groceries on hand.
