 nford Faculty Development program for medical educators has identified a c
 ore set of instructional skills for teaching effectiveness.  Incorporatin
 g this set of core instructional skills into your teaching repertoire will
  allow medical faculty\, both experience and junior\, to become more effec
 tive educators and prepare residents for life-long learning (an ACGME core
  competency).  The Stanford Faculty Development program priority skills o
 f Creating a Positive Learning Climate\, Communicating Goals\, and Givi
 ng Feedback\, are a practical and appropriate formal introduction to clini
 cal instruction.  Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity\, learn
 ers should be better able to:Identify actions for setting specific educati
 onal goals.Describe key components and behaviors for effectively setting a
 nd communicating educational goals.Identify assessment techniques to evalu
