DESCRIPTION:LGBT History Month takes place in February every year.\n\nThe 
 overall aim of LGBT History month is to promote equality and diversity for
  the benefit of the public.\n\nThis is done by:\n\n* Increasing the visibi
 lity of lesbian\, gay\, bisexual and transgender (“LGBT”) people\, the
 ir history\, lives and their experiences in the curriculum and culture of 
 educational and other institutions\, and the wider community\;\n\n* Raisin
 g awareness and advancing education on matters affecting the LGBT communit
 y\;\n\n* Working to make educational and other institutions safe spaces fo
 r all LGBT communities\; and\n\n* Promoting the welfare of LGBT people\, b
 y ensuring that the education system recognises and enables LGBT people to
  achieve their full potential\, so they contribute fully to society and le
