 RegistrationACTIVITY DESCRIPTIONWaikalua Loko Fishpond is a loko kuapā—
 a type of fishpond that is unique to these Islands.  Waikalua Loko I’a 
 was built about 350 years ago. What does an ancient Hawaiian fishpond look
  like? How did our kūpuna build and maintain it? What kinds of fish were 
 grown and harvested from the loko i’a? The Waikalua Loko Fishpond Preser
 vation Society and the Pacific American Foundation invites you to come lea
 rn and support restoration efforts. Help us restore our rock wall against
  rising sea levels\, remove invasive limu\, pull mangrove keiki and cut ma
 ture mangrove\, and more. Please come prepared to work.7:00 Set-Up/Parkin
 g7:30 Registration &amp\; morning snack 8:00 Morning Circle.  Introdu
 ctions and Oli. We’ll organize groups and leaders\, distribute work tool
 s\, and head out to the site.11:30 – 12 noon.  Clean up &amp\; light l
 unch! We rinse off in the ocean\, then use fresh water at the hoses\, hang
  our gloves on the line and wash our tools before we eat.To learn more abo

 oes are good)\,• Sunscreen\, hat• Gloves• Reusable water bottle.  
 Please\, no single use plastic water bottles. We provide ice water for you
  to refill your bottle!• Mess kit (If you plan on having a lite lunch wi

 o Kulauli Street. Follow Kulauli past  Pūʻōhala Elementary School. Ente

 n you reach the fork in the road - don't go into the City &amp\; County ya
 rds). Follow the signs down the dirt road past the golf course caretaker's
  house to the mouth of Kāneʻohe Stream. Park as directed at the end of t
