DESCRIPTION:As part of our ongoing commitment this year to Enrichment and 
 Extension\, our next Enrichment activity will be focused on Engineering. T
 he Stage 3 teachers and myself\, have identified a number of students that
  may be interested or will be enriched by this opportunity. Your child was
  one student who has been selected. The experience will involve working w
 ith a partner\, making from scratch either: a wooden automaton\, a motor p
 owered maze or a working speaker. They will explore the mechanics of how a
 nd why the contraption works and will also be able to bring home their fin
 ished piece to keep. They will work through following instructions\, makin
 g mistakes\, creating solutions and explaining to others what their contra
 ption teaches us. It will also be an opportunity to work with a partner to
  help solve problems. It is a challenging and exciting opportunity for st
 udents to utilise their academic strengths\, while working on a problem wi
 th someone else. As a participant in this opportunity\, your child will ha
 ve the chance to work collaboratively with a teammate to solve complex pro
 blems and complete a challenging task. They will also have the opportunity
