DESCRIPTION:A United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket\, designated ?\, will l
 aunch the WGS 11+ Wideband Global SATCOM spacecraft. Built by Boeing\, thi
 s geostationary communications spacecraft will serve U.S. military forces.
  Vulcan will fly in the VC2L vehicle configuration with a double-engine C
 entaur upper stage\, two solid rocket boosters and a long fairing.\n-\nWGS
  11+ is part of an addition to the Block 2 Follow-on series of WGS satelli
 tes and features phased array antennas and digital signal processing techn
 ology. This satellite will be based on the new BSS-702X variant of Boeing'
 s commercial 702 satellite line that will provide improved signal power an
 d bandwidth efficiency compared to earlier WGS satellites. WGS 11 will als
 o feature a Protected Tactical SATCOM Prototype (PTS-P) payload as a precu
 rsor to the Protected Tactical SATCOM Resilient (PTS-R) satellites. The PT
 S-P design features automated anti-jam capabilities\, including jammer geo
 location\, real-time adaptive nulling\, frequency hopping and other techni
 ques\, harnessing the power of the U.S. military’s Protected Tactical Wa
 veform (PTW) to ensure the warfighter can stay connected in a contested en
 vironment. The satellite has a dry mass of more than 3 tonnes and will pro
 duce more than 11 kilowatts of power at the end of its 14-year design life
