DESCRIPTION:Cristina Urdaneta Thomas '92 PhD is an accomplished chemical e
 ngineering leader with over 35 years of experience in R&amp\;D. Holding a 
 PhD in chemical engineering from UMass Amherst\, she has excelled in high-
 performance computing\, polymer science\, product development\, and organi
 zational leadership. At 3M\, she held senior leadership roles in strategy\
 , commercialization\, knowledge management\, R&amp\;D digital transformati
 on and materials modeling. She recently completed her MBA at the Universit
 y of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. A recipient of multiple p
 restigious awards (the 2023 ACS Stanley C. Israel Award\, 2019 AIChE Indus
 try Leadership Award\, and the 2019 Management AwarD)\, she is also an ACS
 \, AIChE\, and PMSE fellow\, and a member of the National Academy of Engin
 eering (NAE).Alyssa Panitch '90\, '97 PhD received Bachelor’s degrees fr
 om Smith College in Biochemistry and from the University of Massachusetts 
 Amherst in Chemical Engineering. She completed her PhD in Polymer Science 
 and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Since July 2
 022\, she has served as the Wallace H. Coulter Department Chair in Biomedi
 cal Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. D
 r. Panitch specializes in biopolymer design and controlled release. She ha
 s co-founded four companies based on technologies developed in her laborat
 ory.Several of the compounds have entered human clinical trials.She is a m
 ember and Fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society\, the American Inst
 itute for Medical and Biological Engineers and the National Academy of Inv
 entors.
