 .Description:The OUWB mission is "to develop compassionate physicians who 
 are dedicated to improving the health of their communities\, collaboration
 \, and lifelong learning." Since the school's inception we've cultivated a
 nd championed student service and community engagement\, but we haven't pr
 ovided the same care and attention to our staff\, faculty\, and physician 
 community members. In this session\, participants will gain an understandi
 ng of why community engagement is critical to all of OUWB\, how to be acti
 ve participants within the OUWB and local communities\, and how to leverag
 e participation through the GivePulse community engagement platform for pe
 rsonal and professional development.Objectives:At the conclusion of this a
 ctivity\, learners should be better able to:Describe the key elements of c
 ommunity engagement.Recognize the importance of community engagement to OU
 WB.Identify community engagement opportunities for staff\, faculty and phy
 sicians.Connect community engagement activities to the GivePulse community
  engagement platform.
