DESCRIPTION:December 26th is the Feast of the Glorification of the Mother 
 of God (Hido d'qulose d'Yoldath Aloho Mariam) or the Praises (nusrotho) fo
 r St. Mary according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodox Chu
 rch.On the day after the Church celebrates the Incarnation of our Lord (Ya
 ldo d'Moran)\, there is a feast in praise of St. Mary the mother of God on
  December 26th of every year. The Holy Church is glorifying the Theotokos 
 as a token of gratitude for the sufferings\, pains &amp\; troubles underta
 ken by her which were essential for the execution of God’s master plan o
 f salvation. The Syriac Church fathers called St. Mary as the "second eve"
  (hawa d'tharthen). While Eve represented the fall of humanity\, St. Mary 
 represents hope for salvation &amp\; a return to our original state of cre
 ation. Mor Aphrem Suryoyo writes\, "Eve who had been the mother of all the
  living\, became a fountain of death. But Mary\, the new shoot sprouted fr
 om Eve\, the old vine\, &amp\; new life dwelt in her." Mor Yac'ub Srugoyo 
 saw Adam's naming of Eve as prophecy which was fulfilled when Mary gave bi
 rth to our Lord.In St. Luke's Gospel\, our Lord said\, “My mother &amp\;
  my brethren are these which hear the word of God\, &amp\; do it." Indeed\
 , St. Mary heard the word of God through the archangel Gabriel's announcem
 ent of the incarnation of our Lord\, &amp\; followed obediently. She humbl
 ed herself before God\, &amp\; thereby was exalted as blessed among women.
